Urine Drug Test Kits

Urine drug tests are single use kits which can detect the consumption of drugs for a variety of substances between 7-28 days, depending on the test. Most urinary drug testing kits involve a two-step process: 1. A urine sample is provided. 2. A doctor or technician analyses the urine sample for the presence of substances.

When measuring the presence of substances, urine tests use cut-off levels in compliance with Australian Standards, which detail a result will only be positive if the amount of the drug in the system is above a certain level. Cut-off levels can help prevent false-positive results when a person has not taken an illegal drug, but instead eaten food containing a legal amount of hemp, coca or opium. Detection times can vary depending on a variety of factors including body mass, hydration levels, urine acidity and which drug has been taken and for how long. Detection times can be anywhere from 24 hours all the way to 30 days depending on the substance and person being tested.
