  • OX – Oxidants
  • SG – Specific Gravity
  • pH – pH
  • NIT – Nitrites
  • GLU – Glutaraldehyde
  • CRE – Creatinine

Why SVT matters

  • Helps identify dilution or adulteration attempts
  • Supports more confident onsite screening
  • Ideal for safety-critical workplaces

How to use
  1. Collect urine specimen in the cup per the Instructions for Use (IFU).
  2. Place cup on a flat surface and start timing.
  3. Read results at the recommended read time (commonly around 5 minutes).
  4. Do not interpret results after the maximum read window stated in the IFU.
How to interpret results
  • Negative: Two lines (Control + Test). A faint test line is still a negative.
  • Non-negative: Control line only (no Test line) for that drug panel.
  • Invalid: No Control line. Retest with a new device.
Important: All results are preliminary. Confirm any non-negative results with laboratory confirmation where required.
What’s included

FAQ

How long are drugs detectable in urine?
Detection windows vary by drug type, dose, and individual factors. For workplace decisions, rely on your policy and confirmatory testing where required.

Can medications cause non-negative results?
Yes. Some prescription/OTC medications may cross-react on screening tests. Confirm any non-negative result with laboratory confirmation.

Does SVT guarantee specimen integrity?
SVT helps flag common adulteration/dilution methods, but no onsite validity system can detect every scenario in every circumstance.

Need a different panel mix or higher/lower cut-offs?
We can recommend the best option for your workplace program and confirm availability, carton quantities and lead times.
