The alcohol strip indicates preset ranges in urine. For exact BAC%, use a calibrated breathalyser per your policy.
Specimen validity and integrity checks
A donor attempting to defeat a urine screen has three options: substitute someone else's sample or a synthetic one, dilute their own, or add a masking agent. This cup checks for all three.
Substitution is caught by the external temperature strip — read it immediately after collection. A sample outside the expected range did not come from the donor in front of you. No chemical check will tell you this.
Dilution and adulteration are caught by the six reagent pads below, read against the supplied colour chart at three to five minutes.

How to use
- Allow the device to reach room temperature (15–30°C). Do not open the pouch until you are ready to test.
- Remove the cup from the sealed pouch and write the donor name or ID in the space provided.
- Collect the urine sample directly in the cup.
- Read the temperature strip immediately — within four minutes of collection, per standard collection practice.
- Read the adulteration pads against the colour chart at three to five minutes.
- Read the alcohol strip against the colour chart within the time window given in the Instructions for Use.
- Read the drug results at five minutes. Results remain stable for 60 minutes.
Always follow the Instructions for Use supplied with the kit.
How to interpret results
Drug panels: a visible test line means negative. This is the opposite of what people often expect.
- Negative — a red or pink line appears next to T1 or T2 under the drug name. Faint or thin lines still count as negative.
- Preliminary positive — no line appears next to T1 or T2 for that drug. Send the sample for laboratory confirmation.
- Invalid — no line next to C on one or more strips. Discard and retest with a new device.
Alcohol strip: compare the alcohol pad against the colour chart to see which preset range the sample falls into. For exact BAC%, follow up with a calibrated breathalyser per your policy.
Do not read results after 60 minutes.
Screening results are preliminary. Any non-negative result should be confirmed in accordance with your workplace policy.

The VinScreen 6-panel urine drug test cup is a single-step integrated device that screens for six drug classes and simultaneously assesses specimen validity. Collection, drug screening and adulteration testing all take place in one sealed cup, which removes the decanting step and the separate adulteration strip used in older workflows.
Six validity checks are built into the cup — pH, specific gravity, oxidants, creatinine, nitrite and glutaraldehyde. These cover the methods most commonly used to defeat a urine screen: dilution, substitution, and commercial masking agents. For workplace programmes where sample integrity may be challenged, having the validity result on the same device as the drug result simplifies the evidence trail.
Drug results are read at five minutes and remain stable for up to 60 minutes, which allows a collector to process multiple donors in sequence. Adulteration pads are read against the supplied colour chart at three to five minutes.
In manufacturer testing against GC/MS and LC/MS reference methods, agreement ranged from 94.3% to 100% across all six panels, with over 99% agreement at ±50% of cut-off in precision testing across nine operators over 20 non-consecutive days.
